HEAT....

anybody know how much cooler one of the xp-m cpus would run compared to a xp-2000? my computer room is already heating and am trying to get some cooler running cpus where i can.

i have the rig in sig that has c n q setup and that needs to stay as is.

second one is a 733 underclocked to a 550. i tried for over 2wks to get https setup on the xp2000 machine that has 5-7 other sites. i didn't want to add another rig but couldn't get it to work with the xp2000 rig, this is what had to happen. the cpu is a 733/133 but the board that it is on is only a 100MHz board thus the underclock. the board is very limited so i can't modify anything with clocks or V to lower it even more.

the xp2000 rig is the home server that has holds 5-7 regular sites that are db backed up, thus the reason i would like to be able to just switch out a cpu and not a whole new build. i really don't want to set up the sites again and am not sure how a move would go. in addition to that it holds images of all the other machines one its larger hdds. honestly, if i could get apache on this rig to work, then i could get rid of the 550MHz rig, but that doesn't seem like an immediate possibility as getting https to work on this machine didn't work regardless of what tutorial i followed.

was just curious how much cooler one of the 35W xp-ms would be compared to a regular xp. or, in a worst case scenario i could move to something newer like a 3000venice and pick up a new m/b since the xp-ms are pretty pricey, or maybe one of the lower end semprons. not looking to spend much $$$ and don't want to put $$ into really old tech. guess i am just a bit up in arms on how to go about this and what is the best decision....uuggghh
