I've got a bit of a problem here with the heat on my CPU. I'm running the above specs. The processor is a 600 @ 800. I have an 80mm Panaflo sucking air in the bottom and a 80mm Panaflo blowing air out of the case at the top. The Alpha has the fan sucking air off the processor. I also put a really fine layer of the compound that it shipped with on it. My CPU temp at idle runs around 45c-48c. With a heavy load it's at 52c-55c. From what I've seen of other peoples' similar setups is that this is too hot. MBM 5 gives me that temp. Which board sensor is correct in MBM 5.04 for the temp and the voltage? I want to make sure that I have it setup correctly. In Sandra I get reads of around 30c-35. One of these programs is off. Thanks.

Are you sure about that? With the VIA-2 sensor, my CPU and case temps are always the same. They stay at around 29c. When I reboot, the bios software says the CPU is about 47c and the case is about 30c.

yup...he sure is

sandra always gives false readings w/ cpu and case temp.

i have a similar setup:
abit kt7-raid
duron600@1036 (109X9.5)
globalwin fop-32-1

my cpu temp doesn't go higher than 110F on max load.
