It is. But heatsink just sounds more suited for computer terminology for some reason.

I think I've seen them labled as Heatsink (i.e. one word) on just about every one I've purchased.

just because lots of people are wrong doesn't make them right. else we'd spell it rediculous.

Ok, DUDE, he's like 37,120 posts older than you, you don't offer him a cookie at that age. :p

Haha....yes, I know he's that much "older" than me. But here's a question (not necessarily in reference to ElFenix) - do you really think a post count is some kind of social heirarchy where I must bow before those higher than me? He was at 501 posts sometime too! Anyway, it's all in good fun. I have chocolate chip, too...

i think its easier as far as reading is concerned. "heat sink" as two words doesnt automatically imply its usage. it should, of course, be obvious but...eh, some people feel the need for universal spellings/formulation.

Heatsink,to allow cooling

Heat sink,is when i put hot water in the sink,to wash stuff in.

My opinion,which is worth 1/100 of a cent. :)

Just as cannot isn't a real word... There are a ton of other words that are really two words, but common misuse has gained them acceptance (and in some cases has turned them into real words).

Well, if you want to get picky, that's basically how languages are made. Really, what we're speaking today is just a perversion of Middle English, which is a perversion of Old English, which is a perversion of the original germanic languages spoken by the Saxons, etc. etc.

no I didn't.

"Just as cannot isn't a real word...There are a ton of other words.." is the important part
