Falconrock/WhisperockII or SLK900A, i know a lot of guys here are using the thermalright but i also hear some good stuff about the two speeze coolers. i just want to hear it from the anandtech peeps 🙂. will i lose a lot of performance if i choose
either one of the speeze coolers (which is almost $30 less) over thermalright.

Might help if you told what exactly what you plan on using the cooler on....

Well, the Speeze coolers would probably work fine, but it depends on your sensitivity for temperatures. Your temps will be several degrees lower with the SLK, but if you don't mind running at the upper range (50-55C), then you'd probably be OK with the Speeze coolers.

You might check out the user reviews of the Speeze at Newegg...I am sure that someone's using it on a 2500+ running at 2.2ghz.

i have the silent boost atm and i find it loud, even louder than the retail hsf imho. i have been thinking about the Zalman but im not sure if its gonna fit my current setup. according to the compatibility site my mobo should be ok, im just not sure if ill get away
with the PSU clearance issue. 🙁
