Heat Sink / Fan Recommendation

I did a search but wasnt sure what would work the best with the FX-55 and this MOBO, Neo2 Platinum.

Looking for the best Heatsink/Fan combo to cool this puppy some more.

Thanks

The Thermalright XP-120's supposed to be a really tight fit on there, but it's the best HSF there is. You add your own fan (takes 120mm). Also consider the slightly smaller XP-90 and the Zalman 7000 and 7700 series. If you're not overclocking or don't necessarily need something quieter, keep your stock cooler, though.

I think the XP-90 would do me just fine.

So that coupled with a Zalman fan would be my best bet here?

Yes overclocking some will be an option in the future.

I have an XP-90 and I love it. Panaflo H1A on top, 57 CFM, 35dB. I can hear it over the pair of 7200 RPM HDDs but being a larger fan it's not really whiney and annoying to me. You could get the M1A which is 48 CFM @ 30 dB or L1A, 42.7 CFM @ 27 dB.

Yes, I'm biased towards Panaflos. Been using them for years. Some of mine are 5 years old and still going strong.
