My Q9450 has some weird temp readings. Readings are as follows

Core 0: 50c
Core 1: 40c
Core 2: 50c
Core 3: 40c

So... Core 0 and 2 seem to have similar temps while 1 and 3 have similar temps. Did I apply the thermal paste wrong? I used the 2 line method like on benchmarkreviews.com. I put 2 lines on the aluminum parts near the copper pipes.

I'm also using the screw retention set if that makes a difference, not using the push pins.

Anyone have any recommendations?

all i can advise is to take it off, and see what sort of thermal spread contact you had before you reapply and try again :)

i have the 92MM version of this HSF and you sort of have to be liberal in the 2-line placement

i had temp problems with my Phenom 9550 at first, and a good reapplication cleared this up
