Heat problems with Q9450 and Xigmatek S1283

Wasn't exactly sure where to put this, but since a heat issue I figured here would be best.

My Q9450 has some weird temp readings. Readings are as follows

Core 0: 50c
Core 1: 40c
Core 2: 50c
Core 3: 40c

So... Core 0 and 2 seem to have similar temps while 1 and 3 have similar temps. Did I apply the thermal paste wrong? I used the 2 line method like on benchmarkreviews.com. I put 2 lines on the aluminum parts near the copper pipes.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Edit: I'm also using the screw set if that makes a difference, not using the push pins.
