Hello,

My GTX760 PNY with duel fans is apparently overheating. Now that it's warmer here the card is giving me pc shutdown - blue screen with a memory dump. Then the PC won't turn on at all for 5 minutes until it cool.

*I did notice my video card fans never speed up while gaming.

*I have the side of my case off also.

*I stuck in my GTX550 and no shut downs and I gamed fine after that.

I am looking for a fan speed controller for the card so I can turn it up and use it and wanted your opinion on software.

Thanks!

You need to go in and check your fan profile; double check your temps not just the gpu but also cpu.....do you have afterburner; installed? Also airflow in your case? fans? how is that?

I got afterburner on now and cranked the fans to 70%. I played for a bit and it works fine for now.

I never owned a video card before that would not ramp up fan speed when gaming by itself.

Thanks

You can create a custom fan profile in Afterburner, perhaps it was set to a constant 20% by default, regardless of temperatures.

I just made a profile. It'd be nice if I had zero issues from here on out. I even sweeped the thing out with my little shop vac and tiny brushes that came with it.

Have a good one all
