Heat from OCing

I always thought that if you OCed without increasing the voltage, the temperature would remain relatively the same as before. Am I correct or mistaken?

mistaken, upping fsb or multiplier is going to increase heat, at least some, whether you are upping voltage or not.

but upping voltage will increase it more, right?

Okay, upping fsb raises temp, raising voltage raises temp, but raising both raises temps higher. I.E.-- a 400mhz OC will have a lower temp, if you can do it without raising the voltage.

the way i c it is as such

upping voltage = heat increase idle and load
not upping voltage but ocing = same idle but increased load temp
