Heat coming from steering column...

In looking just above the petals, I have noticed that there is a hole about the size of a baseball with 2 remaining fins (of what looks like should be 6 total). So, essentially, I have a gaping hole that allows warm air to breeze right through to my legs. And, on hot summer days, it sucks.

I am looking at trying to repair this, which I imagine shouldn't be difficult at all... just looking for suggestions on what I might find to get the job done. Like I said, it's a hole the size of a baseball, and through that hole goes the steering column. I I'll need something to make a tighter seal to keep most of the air out.

Figure I'll go to a hardware store or walmart and look for a circular piece of rubber or something... but I honestly have no idea what I am going to end up with.

Question is, is something like this common? I've only found one forum suggesting something similar in a VW... but can't figure why this is this problem only seems to exist in my Jeep.

Disregard, this was an easy fix. Popped the hood again and the rubber gasket was there, just 6-10 inches up the pipe. Slid it back where it should be, and now I imagine this problem will be in the past.
