I was able to get the computer up and running today but there are a couple issiues. First is the heat problem. The Bios reports the cpu is 52 C, 129 F while motherboard monitor reports it 192 F. If the Bios is not wrong, is there a heat issue with my computer. Second the ethernet is not working, and i am out of idea. any helps please ?
Spec :
3.2 Ghz Intel Cpu.
2 Gb ram.
6600 gt evga
2 Sata 200 gb and 1 pata 200 gb.
Asus P4P800-E Deluxe socket 487.

Thank you for any help.

does it stay running for a good amount of time? if so its probably not getting too hot (although thats not the best way to tell) touch the heatsink for the cpu gently and see if its hot to the touch, it should just be warm. what cooler are you using is it the stock heat sink and fan? could be your bios, could be a fubar'd temp sensor, could need a bios update.

as for ethernet go to network properties or whatever and see if you have link. enable the show icon when connected. having link and not getting internet are two different things.

I did one of this method:

Use run>cmd and enter

ping localhost -l 1500

the result is:
Packet send: 4, Packet receive: 4, Lost :0

So does it meant the onboard lan is ok ?

Make sure the case has ample air flow. Also, the cpu thermal compound can be difficult to apply correctly. Google search for instructions on applying artic silver.
