I was planning to go for a new graphics card. Now i am not a big gamer only casual so am not going to spend a lot on graphics card. I am living in India so as it is i donot have much of choice as far as variety goes.
I have decided to settle for a radeon 9000pro or a geforce 4 mx440 8X? The geforce 4 ti 4200 is a bit costly.(The pixelview ti 4200 64DDR) is available but is 40$ costlier then either of mx440 and radeon 9000. Asus ti is out of the question.

Now the problem is that i would want to go for radeon 9000pro as it has far better erformance as compared to mx440. But unfortunately I am getting the card only from one manufacturer.(No other radeon cards from any other brand are available)

The brand is st labs. This is there website address........http://www.sunrichtech.com.hk/

NOw my question. Has anybody heard of this brand? What i gather is that they are OEM people and the package will be ati box acked.
Is it safe to buy this card.(the card is stlabs radeon 9000pro 64DDR)
Otherwise i am getting an asus geforce 4 mx440 128DDr for about the same price.
Or asus geforce fx 5200 for 10$ extra(128DDR) or gainward mx440 Golden sample.
There is also an stlabs radeon 9000(non pro)128DDR card available.

Which one will be best. And plz tell me about this st labs. Do you have any of there produts in USA. Are they reliable?
Thanks to all in advance

St labs are avaliable here in Australia. Friom what i gather they are not very big here or well known. I haven't heard much about them either. I doubt in general they would be worse than any other brand out there, so if you can get a good price, the go for it.

But are they well known now?(Forget well known are they trustworthy or reliable now)
Another problem i am facing is that i wrote to sales@ati and they informed that they have not given any partnership to st-labs to manufacture board. So they must be selling ati board only.( That means card mad by ati themselves.) Can anyone confim this......... Does st-labs sell ati original products or they manfacture themselves.
Also from there website i have found that packaging is in original ati box.......
Any help..........

Probably won't be of much help to you. I've delt with STLab products when I used to work in retail. They are an ok / cheaper sort of brand. They have things ranging from graphics cards (I've only seen nv ones) to I/O cards such as USB2, Firewire, IDE RAID etc.

Don't really have an issue with them. They are cheap which a lot of customers are looking for. Rarely get a return with them so I suppose they do their job.

ST Labs is a bargain bin brand. I have an ST Labs ATA133 IDE controller and it runs ok, but don't expect any fancy packaging or anything...its just the product and a box, that's it ;)
