i just saw that wives swap show where a city family swapped with a country family who believed eating raw and rotten meat, non clean living was healthier lifestyle. they also ate aged 4 month old meat, raw eggs

for the most part i dont doubt that once your body is used to those kinds of things you can be healthy, i also think eating cooked foods and typical city living can be just as healthy if your used ot it, but i dont believe the average person would live any longer
i clean with bleach and kill those good bacteria...do i get sick, no, do i get healthy,no dont notice the difference

what do you guys think?

raw eggs aren't that bad for you. eggs don't need refrigeration either.

and good steak is dry aged. cut off the outside part and you have some damn good beef.

I dunno. That rural family was a little overboard but they did have some good things like trying to be self sufficient with their food.

Most restaurants use "aged" beef to enhance the flavor. Aged = decaying FYI

It was interesting to see how defensive the kid (male teen) got about his way of life (eating raw). Really, really agitated quickly. Makes me think he's been teased and made to be the outsider pretty constantly by his peers.

The farm family had some decent points and the urban family definitely went about it wrong - never straight up call their way of life wrong - but hell, in the end it is too bad for the kids. Their parents are a wee bit nutty and they're paying the price.

Yeah the raw meat freaks were a little weird. About as gross as the bulimic chick on Intervention that did the chew and spit thing....yuck!!

I saw an episode of No Reservations where Tony was in Iceland for their big festival where they eat all that stuff. He's always a good sport and eats whatever is offered to him (example: In Namibia, he ate a pig rectum that had basically been cooked in poo and hot coals), but it sounded like the stuff was awful tasting.

I don't even like the feel of raw poultry. The smell of raw turkey really gets to me for whatever reason. I don't understand how you can eat poultry raw. I can understand beef and seafood, MAYBE pork, but raw poultry is all kinds of disgusting.

i assume they didnt get their chicken from a grociery store, if itsyour own and its fresh then its reasonably safe

however how can uncooked meat, be any benefit over it being cooked? they can bake it, not like they have to deep fry it in lard or nothing...its about taste, not health since you can die from cooked and uncooked foods

i agree about the teenage boy, he has some serious frustration issues. and the dad crying cuz they didnt feel good, cause their bodies got adapted to raw meat, like i tell mine when they get sick...tough it out, it puts grit on your teeth and builds character.

didnt it look like they all had some serious skin problems? might not be from thier diet but they definitly needed some skin treatments.

btw, those kids will be living on that farm their whole lives, theres no excuse for lacking your kids educational needs.
