healthy fruit drinks?

I'm getting tired of water and vanilla soy milk. Most of the fruit drinks I look at at the store, like Twister, have as much sugar per serving as a candy bar. Recommendations for healthy fruit drinks?

Well... if you drink more than 2 cups of Twister, of course it'll have as much sugar as a candy bar. Why not just stick to Tropicana?

I dunno, why not? I only know of a few types of fruit drinks. Is there anything healthy you can make easily at home?

I buy cranberry juice sweetened with splenda. Only 40 calories per serving.

It's Ocean Spray Cranberry "Lite".

Apple & Eve are all made without extra sugar. 100% juice.

Edit: Although they still contain a high amount of sugar, but that comes with any fruit. A good option is to mix some whole fruit (berries, high in antioxidants) with soy milk. It's very good, I make it a lot.

Well, it can be healthy sugar, I'm talking about the refined stuff. You can definately tell a difference between Cranberry Twister and 100% pure Cranberry juice, ya know?

Make a fruit smoothie at home. Just get bananas, strawberries, kiwis, oranges, etc. and mix them together in a blender with a little ice. I do this a lot for breakfast and put it in a container to drink on the way to work. As long as you're using stuff straight out of the fresh produce section and nothing canned or frozen, that should be reasonably healthy.

You might have to add a little fruit juice to liquefy it and make it easier to blend and drink, though.

Edit: Not to mention, all that fiber from the fruit keeps the mail moving smoothly.... 😉

No. Buy the actual fruit and eat it. Or if you don't like the pulp, put the fruit in a juice fvcker.

BTW, it's Soy juice.

I noticed that Tropicana has a Lite OJ, as well.

Juice is bad for you? I beg to differ. I guess besides a Cran-Apple every morning I try and drink water and then green tea....

Fruit has sugar in it naturally. Any fruit drink has caleries. You just have to weight the health factor against the calories. Personally, I prefer places like Jamba Juice that take real fruit, yogurt, ocr cream etc and make a smoothie out of it. Sure it has calories but it's also got lots of fruit.

In moderation, it's not so bad... But the sugar (fructose, for SacrosanctFiend's sake 😉 ) can really pile up.

Much of what people call "juice" actually contains added high fructose corn syrup, which is basically very compressed fructose.

Imho, high fructose corn syrup and partionally hydrogenated oils are teh devil.
