Most countries will provide a certain amount of Healthcare to Illegals. The US is kinda unique(AFAIK) in the sheer numbers of Illegals though.

It is unlikely to occur in the US because Illegals are a Net Benefit. They certainly are allowed due to the Low Wages they are willing to Work for. Which is why neither Deportation nor Mass Amnesty really is a serious suggestion by either Party. Once in awhile there will be a Token Deportation or even a Public Attempt at Amnesty, but neither ever goes far.

Agreed. Don't expect anything serious to be done about that anytime in the near future.

I live in a rural area that has probably more illegals in the community than there are legal people. It is a small town , population 735. Here there are a lot of farmers that hire illegals and not because they work for less wages per hour. Talking to the illegals here they are not going to work for any less than minimum wage + a couple dollars per hour. That old idea that people hire them to do jobs that other people won't do is the past. The majority of the ones here make more per hour than the people working at places like fast food. They don't pay taxes, the farmers pay them cash at the end of the day. Instead the reason the farmers like them is because they don't have to do any paperwork, keep up with the wages, or worry about how many hours each person works per week. You pay someone for their work and never have to know their name.

Illegal mothers here get free health care and food, rent , etc already so healthcare bills will not change that. The USA has always had a soft spot for children and so when a mother and child show up at welfare they get the gold card for expenses. The mothers tell them the father is unknown/no idea where he is , and usually the fathers will all stay together at one home, working during the day and visiting their families when not working. I even heard of one case where the father was in the home when the social worker visited and the women said it was her brother. That worked until their son ran up to him yelling papa .


There is no easy solution. There are many hard working illegals. But there also many that have learned how to abuse the system.

Because they're human first, and illegal second. And I'd like to think unlike the third world, we wouldn't turn away people from the emergency department because they can't pay.

Of course, this doesn't mean that they get to use this as their "insurance plan" treat them, but deport them.
