So much for compassionate conservatives ...

It's really sad but I would like to think they don't represent a typical citizen. They are most likely part of the 10% of our population who are just plain nuts.

Clearly the guy sitting down in front of them was trying to make a political statement as well - He had a sign over his shoulder. Of course, the video doesn't show the whole story. Its not like the protesters went into a nursing home and starting mocking some poor parkisons patient who was just trying to eat his breakfast. I suspect that most of the treatments which allow this Parkison's to be outside protesting probably came from the very system he is protesting against. The government HC plan would probably park him in a corner somewhere because there were younger people who need treatment. Either have having a disease does not suddenly make your views on Healthcare the correct one.

They probably should have spit on the guy, you liberals seem to be much more accepting of that sort of thing.

Compassionate conservatism = neocons. Neocons=big government=not fiscal conservative.

Btw, that guy with the Parkinsons sign is a genius. He made 2 bucks in a span of mere seconds :p

Oh yeah, because early or even mid-stage Parkinson's makes a person unable to walk at all, hold a sign, or go outside.

No, but being jackasses toward someone with a debilitating disease doesn't either.

Its ok to steal a mans future if hes educated and driven, but of course it makes one evil and greedy to steal the future of a man whos uneducated, unmotivated and expecting his handout.

Ironic that.

Anti-health care reform protesters make fun of a guy with Parkinson's. This is pretty sad.

Did you actually watch the video?

Lets see, did they really make fun of him?
Nope.

Could they of handled the situation better?
Probably.

Did the man actually have Parkinson?
Who knows.

Did the man look for trouble when he sat in front of the other group.
Absolutely yes.

This news anything more than a lefty-circle jerk?

If you "progressives" want this man helped, then go ahead and donate money to his care. We don't need to blow up the size of government to do this.

Do we want to go in and look at what everyone says at an SEIU or ACORN bussed protest?

Really, if a politician makes a statement the "progressives" don't agree with, and in less than a week moveon.org raises over a million dollars to hand to the opposing candidate.

Yet they do nothing to actually help all these individual cases other than trotting them out for display.

And they sit back on their asses and claim the *rest* of us are the idiots with screwed up priorities?

So giving hand outs, which is the exact thing we'll be doing (paying for other people's healthcare), means we're making fun of them? He wasn't making fun of them, he was making a point, however badly the guy made it. The first guy said we don't give hand outs, and he's right, we shouldn't.

Liberal Circle Jerk at best.

That's because moveon.org is a PAC. I'm not sure what moveon.org that has to do with this to begin with. Or is no one allowed to express opinions differing from yours on our countries problems until they personally fix them all?

The guy mockingly threw money at him while jeered at him from the crowd. He might have been trying to making a point but he was insulting the guy while doing so.

Should we cease all government "hand outs"? No more welfare? medicare/medicare? Foodstamps? What about lifetime medical treatment and other programs for veterans? Farming subsides? College grants? Food for low income school children and the elderly?

And I said he didn't do it well.
Yes, welfare is horribly done. People that are out of work should get compensation for a while, and that's about it. People that want to do nothing but sit on there ass all day should diaf. Foodstamps can go for struggling people as needed, but it's the same as welfare. Medicare was payed into by some people that use it. Veterans actually helped the country out. Farming helps the country out. College grants help people to actually become functioning members of society by studying something that can help land a job so they won't have to have welfare and sit on their ass all day.

Read these statements and then compare them to the idea behind health care reform, or even a single payer program which isn't even an option at the moment. Then read your statements again. Repeat until you realize how stupid you are.

Help people who have helped the country or payed to use it or would improve the productivity of those on a program seems to be your requirements. How would comprehensive health care reform not do that?

Just to make a further point I'll use farm subsides, which meet your seal of approval.

So the general population helps the country? By doing what, sitting on their asses and letting other people pay for their healthcare? What is your argument? We shouldn't be handing shit to people who do nothing. Do farmers not produce food which helps the country? I have a limited knowledge of government programs (in depth with things like farming subsidies that is), but if they actually are useful to the country, they should be supported. Meanwhile, my money is going to some idiot who decided to have 13 children and not do shit to help themselves? Veterans get healthcare- they fought for this country, to keep the liberties we have- to keep health care insurance that we have a CHOICE to pay for- I'll gladly offer some of my money to help them for the freedom they've allowed me to keep. Welfare is a piece of shit broken program, as are most government programs. I don't necessarily support the programs in place and how they are run, but that doesn't mean I don't support an idea behind something.

Its not sarcasm. Less government the better, especially with regards to things like welfare, farm subsidies, student loans, and food assistance(at least the current version).

Nice. Stay classy Tea Baggers!

Get en clue, its not gonna happen. Tea baggers were created by Dick Armey, to take the pressure off equally irrational GOP whores on the take from private health core lobbyists.

So you think veterans deserve government health care as they help the country(no argument from me) what about cops and emts? Firefighters?

How about a professor & nuclear engineer with 2 masters and a PH.D?

That was pretty funny. He believes in giving back. Well he can give back all he wants, he shouldn't decide for other people to give. Individuals decide themselves if they want to give or not.
