I have a high school kid from the Ukraine who helps out my technician.
Since she has 9 sibling, money is tight and her family is on Medicaid.
She has a back problems so I refered her to my chiropractor not knowing that chiropractic care is not covered.
She couldn't afford it, so I made some phone calls and found a group of chiropractors who volunteer their services. She has an appointment on Thursday.
I also learned that her family had to pay $800 for a root canal for her 8-year old brother. I recalled that dental schools provide schools provide care for the poor. I called the dental school in my area and they accept Medicaid. Although the treatment is proviced by residents, I'm sure that they are well supervised.
Bottom line is, it appears that if you are poor and need medical or dental care, there are resources out there for you.
