Headset Won't Power Off

Hey guys, recently bought a SteelSeries headset that is USB and as long as it's plugged into the USB port there will be power. This is true even when the PC is in sleep mode. Is there anyway to set an option to power this thing off? I've done some searching around and tried a few options through device manager but no luck. Thanks for any help with this!
 
You can unplug it, or get a USB cable that has a power switch. The Steel Series Wireless headset had a p'ower switch in the right earcup.
