Headset suggestions/Questions

Basically I'm trying to either A) Find a good headset (game audio, and Voice) to use with my Xbox 360 for under 60-70$. Ive heard good things about the Turtle Beach models, but I'd like to hear a little more user experience.

Also, it would be a lot easier to simply connect my PC gaming headset (SteelSeries Siberia) to my TV using RCA adapters, then I would just need a 3.5>>2.5 adapter for the mic. Would this work because if so It will save me a good chunk of money..

Thanks!

I like my turtle beach X1, it's within your price range but is wired, not sure if that's an issue for you or not. The sound and voice quality are good, voice is much better than the stock mic.

Why not just buy/get the normal 360 one that get a real headset for the PC???

Uh, how did this answer my question? I already have one for my PC (as i said in the OP) and Im wondering if/how well it would work on 360. The reason i dont want to use the cheap POS from M$ is that I want audio through my headset..

I just picked up the Turtle Beach X4 not too long ago for $130 shipped from Amazon. I love it and can't imagine not having it now. My girlfriend can watch a movie in the same room and not be bothered by me playing xbox. It helps out a lot on CoD also.

Yes, that should work. The plug on the xbox 360 controller is just a normal jack that you can even plug in cell phone heatsets into.

With having saying that, I have a Turtle Beach X3 and I love it. The X3 pipes your mic voice into your headset speakers so you can hear yourself talking. I found this feature worth it since both of your ears are covered and you can't really hear yourself talking otherwise. Also it is much more comfortable then the stock headset and I get game sounds through the headset now.

Ok cool. Im gonna grab some adapters from radioshack and give it a try.

Are there any other brands, or is Turtle Beach the best for headsets specifically for the 360?

There are other brands, but Turtle Beach is the most well known one. I had a hard time finding reviews for the other brands so I figure the safest bet was to get the Turtle Beach one. Most of the other ones were more expensive too.
