Headset recommendation

I have a request for recommendations for a good gaming headset in the $50 or less price range. It's for one of my kid's birthday and it's for the PS3. I'm not a gamer so I'm appealing to your expertise for recommendations in this space.
 
Hey there. I just bought the Turtle Beach P11 headset for my PS3. It's "designed" for the PS3, have a mic, volume control for both Game and Voice, great sound for the price, sturdy enough and works on the PC too.

It's a little over your price range at 60CAD (i'm in Canada) but well worth the extra dollars.
 
Thanks for the recommendation - it's actually under $50 over here and surprisingly Walmart had the cheapest price.

Just tried it for the first time yesterday in Borderlands 2 and it's working really well. Great sound and voice quality, light and adjustable volume (for game and voice) is really handy.

Great product!
