My work headset is dying and I need a new one. My employer will reimburse me for a headset. I need a USB connection and has to be stereo. Any suggestions?

The one I am currently using is a Plantronics .audio DPS 400. Its ok but the cables are flimsy and that is where the problem started. The cable connecting to the volume control causing the sound to cut out. I got them in September when I started the job but didn't really start to use them alot until about December, so they haven't lasted very long.

I can get another pair of those but as I said, they don't seem to last long with constant use.

Do they need a mic? I am just trying to figure out why they would need to use USB if they didn't have a mic....

In an office so my music won't bug people. But honestly I've never used them in over 10 years.

I have a nice wireless headset for the phone but those aren't used too often either.

I work in a cube and often listen to music, and have some Sennheiser HD555s for this purpose. The "Beats by Dr. Dre" series are way too bassy for me, to the point where they seriously change the character of the music.

your work pays for headphones for you to listen to music in your cube? Thats's pretty cool.

the headset i need is for work...i don't think they'd appreciate me buying "gaming" headsets.

I guess i'll just buy what I had originally.
