Just heard this on the radio....

Starting Friday morning, all Fry's in Bay Area, CA will be having a "Re-Grand Opening Sale."

Now I know that Fry's does a handful of SUPER SALES maybe 2 or 3 times a year, and this is probably one of them. (Black Friday is another)

Anyhow, grab the newspaper for the Fry's ads, and go get yourself a deal! I know I'll be going so just don't get in my way!😛

UPDATE: It's actually Friday only for those who were planning on coming on the weekend.

What I came back with:
-50 Slimline Jewel Cases $5-$5MIR = $0
-Creative Inspire G380 Speakers $20-$10MIR = $10

For those who claim that it's not that great of a sale, I have to partially agree. There are slightly better deals than the usual Friday sales but not to the level of some of their past sales.
I got there at 9 AM and the Fremont Fry's was pretty busy. You'd think nobody had work😉

That's the San Jose link.

My Favorite Fry's link is here:
Current Fry's Ads

I live in the greater Phoenix area and we run most of the same deals here. This link is useful cause I don't buy a newspaper all that often!

Is it just me or does that netaffilia.com site with the Fry's ads just have prices and no descriptions? I am having a javascript problem with my computer...so I'm thinking stuff isn't showing up because of that.

yeah it would be safer especially for those who live far from a fry's to get a paper ad first, there just might be nothing you need at all

i remember last time frys had a super sale march this year, i got a $99 25" RCA television and a $70 200GB hard drive...excellent prices for the time😀

i must admit i kind of take fry's for granted since i live a minute away from one....😛

i heard heard this from one of the employee's too.. do they usually have a big ad in the paper? the guy told me that there's 100+ pages.. that's pretty ridiculous, but i guess it's just gonna be a big sale.. i'm gonna go check it out

Fry's has about 2 to 3 big sales a year, the black friday, the anniversary, and this occasional special occasion sale.

I will be there before going to work.

I heard that most good stuff involved rebates and it is Bay area only deal.

The ads will be up maybe at about 5.00am western time on Mercury news site.

Can somone explain to me how a "Grand Reopening" sale is different that "Hot Summer" sale or the "Holiday Extravaganza" sale?

Gunblade,

do you think that the Mercury site will have them all if they are very big?

I guess I might have a road trip on Saturday.

Mercury news most likely will have the ads but they may not let you zoom in to see the detail. That is what they did last time when Fry's had a big sale. If you use the site before, you will know what I mean.

The good deal will most likely be gone by end of Friday. However, if it is really big sale, they will also have some Saturday only items too.

The only way I figured this is going to be one of those few super sales is because of the words "Grand Reopening." In addition to Black Friday and Anniversary sales, there are Grand Opening sales. These are when they give the best markdowns and prices. So that clued me in, plus it said in the ad that doors open bright and early at 8 o'clock, don't miss it, etc., etc. which it only does on super sale days.

Yeah....I'm a Fry's veteran 😎

Hehe...there's 3 Fry's stores within about 7 minutes driving from me. I can't get enough of them...unfortunately, I ALWAYS buy something when I walk in. :/

i'm a newbie so please forgive me in advance... what is black friday? and does anyone know if the supersales that fry's has are good for the downer's grove (chicago area) fry's as well? Thanks

Are those San Jose ads for this weekend regarding the sale? If not, where can I find out what's for sale?

The ad will be out in the Friday paper (tomorrow morning)

The link right now is to the Thurday ad, because it's... well... Thursday.

But that link always takes you to the current Bay Area Fry's ad. Tomorrow it will be a link to Friday's ad, which if the OP is right, will be for the Grand Re-Opening sale.

Sorry for the confusion.

I just meant that that link is always current and will give TODAY'S Bay Area Fry's ad, whatever day today is. Obviously I can't point you to tomorrow's ad, unless you come back tomorrow and click that link 😛

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. Biggest shopping day of the year.

I found NOTHING interesting in the sale today.

Some "better" deals from the front page.

120GB WD HD. $90 - $30 mail in - $30 mail in = $30
512MB PC2700 PNY Memory $70 - $30 MIR = $40
4.2" Portable DVD player $100 (No name brand)

Hey there,

was there for the Sunnyvale fry's before opening. There was a line of about 30 people. I bought most of the free after rebate stuffs, for instances case, cf card, ups, power strip, and some hds camera, dvd portable.

It was a very good sale.
