Heads up Buy.com's Zen mp3 for 299 after rebate

I love to get a Ipod. Which is about 60 grams lighter then this monster. Also smaller form factor for the ipod too.

But this thing does seems to be pretty good. Also have regular usb if it just so happens that the source of your mp3(your friends PC) does not have a firewire port could come in handy.



No more free shipping but added a 10 dollar coupon and rebate is for 50 bucks

What about the Creative Labs Zen?? It's a 20GB player and the MSRP is only $300. Has anybody heard anything about them yet??? Any reviews?

Best Buy will charge you tax. It is MSRP of $350, not $300. It is 9.5 oz and the iPOD is 7.2 oz. That is a 65 gram difference.

It seems that the Zen player doesnt have much Tech support yet. I just check creative's website and came up with nothing. Dont buy yet if you anticipate some problems with it.

If you go to creative website...currently because of the 50 dollar rebate they listed their MSRP to be 299. But it really is suppose to be 349.


And why would you buy from best buy? Are they also offering rebates? Or are you talking about price match with free shipping too?

Yep, it's tempting me. Gotta wait till after Christmas though...never know if the gf will surprise me with one.

The item is now backordered and no longer have free shipping for it. And eventhough you can apply one of those 10 off coupon you would still need to pay shipping which is like 10-20 bucks.

Not that warm now.

i got mine for $285 shipped AR from JandR It comes tommorow. I love this company I can always seem to talk them down at least $15 in price on anything. They are awsome, so sales tax either for us west coast people.

Just fyi, the archos recordable 20gb player(though it's far less compact) is 200 bucks after rebate right now. The Zen does look pretty sweet though.
