It's that time of the year again. I'd start throwing up links, but unfortunately I'm at work.

Huge list, date gated as always. I'll try to get stuff updated this evening when I have some time.

Got Super Street Fighter IV AE for $7.49. As of today SSF 4 AE is steamworks for this amazon download!!! Real stoked to try out some SF w/ some real life friends. Had some fun back in day w/ SF 2 turbo in the ole pool halls / arcades.

Any idea what they're doing about GFWL? Since SSF4 requires GFWL (presumably for multiplayer) and all, and it's getting shut down in a little more than a month...

SSF4AE no longer requires GFWL live. An update was pushed today apparently and now you can go through steamworks.

If you bought the game before not through steam just go and activate your key via steam so you can play through that.

Heads up also that Mad Catz is also selling the Wii U fightstick with sanwa parts for $60 right now which is 1/3 of the original price and a super deal. A $30 PCB upgrade mod lets you convert it to PS3/PC easily so for $90 you will have a very high quality fightstick.

Some of the lowest prices I've seen on CoD games (like CoD World at War for only $9.99).

But the prices of some games are going up (Bioshock has been on sale at Amazon for $2.99).

Keep in mind! Capcoms Street fighter 4 and Street fighter X Tekken both use Games for windows live, a service that is expecting to end very soon, and capcom has not replied once to any queries on if they plan to patch either of these games. Without a patch the games are dead in the water (Single play may be effected too) once that day comes. Things go from bad to worse when you consider the current patches require updates to be downloaded from the service, and that download will not exhist.

That said there are cracks for the games as well as a download packs that contains 3 GWFL packages needed for the current patch to run, and you just use an offline profile.

With the announcement of a new SF4, it sounds like capcom has no interest in pushing updates so it can generate more sales on the new version.

That's what I was referring to above... but apparently read what gus said. I can't read the link (at work), so I don't know if it directly deals with what you and I are talking about though (steamworks != the GFWL "requirement" imho).

Why is Civ5 BNW cheaper for the box set than PC download? It makes no sense.

Basically, online retailers often charge less money for physical boxed versions because they consume physical space on warehouse shelves, and if a game is slightly older/not as many people are buying it, then wasted space = wasted money. So they undercharge on the boxed version in hopes of moving inventory faster and replacing it with newer items. This problem does not exist with digital downloads, so they can charge more for them.

This is how Tony (Amazon's previous PCDD community manager) explained it anyway.

So If you buy the franchise pack for Metro Last Night, can you flip Metro 2033 individually or no?

Possible, as they are individual steam keys for M2033, M:LL and the DLCs. Purchased the pack accidentally but was looking to get it anyway

Yep. I've seen lower for Civ 5.

So this is for people in US only?

"Note: Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United States and who have a U.S. billing address."

Even if it's digital downloads? Seems strange.

Does not seem to be, I was checking that out as well with the Metro pack, and it went through without a problem.

An seeing as they are steam keys, I activated the keys fine on steam

I am in Canada
