So I'm looking at this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...sPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

(I did ask the seller this question, but it's one of those drop-off places)

Anyhow, look at the plug in the picture. It's a lot bigger/longer than plugs I've seen on headphones I've used, and I don't think I can plug it into my PC. Is this thing only for stereo systems? Is there any way to plug it into a PC (would it require some ripoff adapter?)

Anybody with like Sennheiser 497's know if those have the same plug? Or can I plug those into my PC?

There are 3 plugs I know of.

1/8" 1/4" and a third which give a dedicated ground to each left/right channel to improve speration. Unfortunately, I can't see EBay at work so I can't help directly. Hopefully I lead you to water though.

Looks like someone else mentioned that the auction has a 1/4" plug.
Yes, adapters from 1/4 to 1/8 are common. And viasa-versa. just go to radio shack to get an adapter.

If hte plugs are better, they should come with hte adapter. it's common for better headgear to come stock with a 1/8 plug and include a 1/8 -> 1/4 inch adapter. The pic might just show the adapter attached. Then again hte seller will probably respond to clear things up.

Ok. I'll send another question and hopefully get an answer. I don't like the fact that this guy didn't respond to my first question, but this set of phones is cheap and almost the only ones on ebay.

Is there any loss of quality or max volume going to a smaller plug?

Anybody with these phones find an adapter in the retail box?

EDIT: Looks like this adapter will work:

So I have to add $6 to the price of these headphones. I don't have a car right now, but if I walked/bus to Radio Shack and didn't get shot on the way there it probably wouldn't be much cheaper with tax.
