Headphones have low volume with PSP!?!

My Philips SHP1900 full-sized headphones, for some reason; sounds REALLY low when plugged into my PSP. But it works ok and very loud when I'm using it to listen to my PC and TV.

HOW COME ITS LIKE THAT?!? can I somehow fix it? atleast gimme an explanation!

PLEASE HELP I don't wanna buy another pair of headphones/earphones just because this one has a problem with my PSP.D:

The problem is the PSP itself. The audio amps in it are pretty weak.

You can buy or even make your own pocket sized headphone amplifier.
