I currently use the earbuds that came with my Zune when working out, but they are on their way to being done.

I am looking for suggestions for a new set of in-ear buds to be used strictly for working out. I don't want to spend too much as they get sweaty, the cord accidentally pulled, beat-up in my gym bag, etc...

I know there are music listeners out there!

Well, I use my Sennheiser CX300 II earbuds for working out, they are durable enough and sound great.

I use the Sennheiser (something something)70.

It's an around the back of the head deal, and love em. Only complaint is the cord is short (without the included extension that I rarely use).

What kind of working out will you be doing? As a general rule, IMO in-ear headphones are a bad choice for running, because you'll get an unpleasant sound every time you land. They'd probably be fine for any non-running and non-jumping exercise though. I can't help with specific suggestions though.

I think we've had a few threads about this. Just buy the cheapest Sony's you can find that wrap around your ears so that they stay on. I forget the model, but I think I paid less than $10 for them. Do a search and you should find suggestions.

I use a pair of Sony "street style" headphones. They seem to work the best for exercise, they stay on the best when moving.

Skull candy. I run the cord down my back so there's no "jarring", like kalrith mentioned, when on the elliptical.

Read somewhere about keeping the volume low during exercise. Increased blood pressure and high volume caused more hearing damage than volume alone. Thoughts?
