Somehow I managed to live life and never encounter a life-stage where I had $800 to blow on headphones. If at all possible buy stuff you can return for cash or that you have a reasonable chance of selling on eBay for cash. $8000 is way too much for a audio system.

1000 bucks is WAY too much for a computer system.

Believe it or not 8000 bucks can get you a decent home theater audio or a pretty darn good 2-channel stereo.

8000$ would but me 2 speakers a sub and a sub amp, thats it

Finding $800 headphones is easy. Finding $800 headphones at Musician's Friend is not.

*Rather, finding headphones *worth* $800 there.

thats a sweet win. how did you come across it? my friend has a pair of senn HD 600s and i think something happened to them because they really truely SUCK. ive heard good things about them so im sure he mustve screwed them up in some way. anyhow. i use a pair of Bose Triports myself and their great in terms of comfortability and all of that. with that much money id go for the pair that cancels noise, as those give amazing bass and the noise cancelling really does work as my friend has a pair.. great fun.

Out of curiousity, why does anyone need $800 (give or take) headphones? Why? I dont understand this.

I understand that some people may need them because of their profession. But otherwise, for lesiure entertainment?....why?

Where did you win this?...
I'd get some item to ebay and cover the tax liability on that $8000 too, it's going to be taxed at your normal tax rate.
