Grado SR-80 is one of the top gaming picks. Only 100$. Sony V-6 is also a top pick. Not to be confused with the V-600. They're kinda hard to find, though.

I recently purchased a pair of Sennheiser 570s new in box on eBay for $85. They retail for around $120 and are, in my opinion, the best headphones under $200 out there. The 580s are exactly the same but have leather-ish ear pieces instead of the velvet on the 570s. I recommend either for supurb sound quality, especially when coupled with a headphone amp.

Sennheiser HD497 is a good choice, low imendance - good for sound cards, no need for amp, should have good bass and best sound balance of all the 4x7 series. And first of all they're CHEAP! :) and easy to get. Be sure to check them out.

Here I found you a link with a short review of the headphone. And if you look aroung there are many other suggestions in the buying guide. There are newer Sennheiser portable not full size headphones - PX100/200, also good for computers.
Oh and HD570 are quite different than HD580 - which are more like the top of the line HD600, HD570 is more like HD590.

I still have a pair of Sennheiser HD490s, which I really like as they are very comfortable and sound much better than the other headphones that I could stand on my head. I am not sure how they compare to their newer headphones. But have a look at Sennheiser. They definitely make good headphones over a wide price range. You can pick out a style and price range to your taste. Obviously some of their headphones will be better than others, check out audioreview for that specific model. The HD497's have better bass, but are a lot less comfortable for me.

[Edit: Grado is good too, and some people like Sony.]
