Headphones/Earbuds for Running

I have to get a new pair of headphones that i use for running and working out. I have had the sony in-ear types and those were ok except they fell out all the time. I am looking at the shure e2c's bu apparently those fall out pretty easily as well.

Anyone have any good recommendations as far as good headphones/earbuds that wont fall out when running? Google has been unrewarding but I could be missing something. A while back there was a thread about this with only a few posts and they went towards the 'around the neck' style.

Get the Shure headphones.

I have them and you can get the little foam inserts which perfectly conform to the shape of your ear for not only comfort but a snug fit. I run with mine.. hell it even takes a second to get them out they stay in so well.

Plus they are an amazing sounding earbud for the price.

i was initially attracted to these but from what i read on an amazon review, the earbud still slips out and just leaves the whole mess hanging from the hook.

do the foam pieces get uncomfortable? i use foam earplugs on airplanes sometimes but they kinda hurt after a while.

I have Sony ones with the ear hook (Sony Sport something). I'd recommend something with an earhook.

I would also suggest the street/sport type headphones that go behind the neck. However, the sweat tends to break down the foam pads.

I go jogging with e2c's. They stay in, no problem. If you tighten the comfort loop piece of plastic tubing on the back, everything is held in place really well.

does the fact that the wire goes over your ear get annoying (ie: bouncing cords)? hows the durability? for ~$75, i want these to last a bit.

btw, thanks for all the replies!

nah they're held pretty tight and there's no bouncage. Only thing is, because they're such a good seal you hear the noise of your running as a thumping noise (try this: stick a finger in your ear and thump your chest bone. You get that thumping noise x 5). Unavoidable, however...

happened with my sony's too. it kinda freaked me out at first because you hear a lot of stuff coming from inside your body you never heard before. got used to it pretty quickly though.

looks like i am going with the shure's, now to find them at a good price (~$65-70)
