OK, my walkman smashed the right part of my Sony w.ear headphones (almost a 3ft drop to concrete...the walkman now has a scratch, oh dear!). These were the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn, even if their low-end kida sucked. So I recently went to the store and checked some out...
The Sony behind-the-head ones (the $30 ones) were uncomfortable (they hurt my neck) and everything was made terribly bassy.
The Koss ones of similar styling that were $10 sounded fine but where just as bad comfort-wise. I recently stumbled onto the fact that Koss makes a set similar to what I had but, if the specs are right, far better frequency response (both in less distortion and lower range).
However, I can't find a B&M store selling them, and as picky as I am (and given that my total budget for all this tops at about $35), I'm at a bit of a stop. Any places to look for third-party info on low-cost headphones, and/or a B&M store listing would be helpful.
TIA
