Headphone signal???

I have changed a configuration somewhere...😕

Now when I plug in my headphones into the jack in the front I hear sound out the speakers and the headphones where a few weeks ago as soon as I plugged in my headphones the sound was cut from the speakers....

Ideas???

sounds like mobo settings, you know those lil jumpers you set on your mobo, well get out the ol' manual, and reset them back to the original set up, make sure everything is in its right place, (if wrong, some elder come smack me up, and tell him what to do)
 
OK for the life of me I can't find the setting. Would any poor souls with an Asus P4P800-E Deluxe or anyone with a clue help me here???

I just got Half-life2 installed and I would love to crank it up using my headphones. 😀

Hey,

I just saw your post here because I'm looking for info on a similar, but different, problem. Anyway, I think your problem rests with your case. You are plugging your headphones into the front audio on your sonata, right? Yeah, well, the front audio connector for the sonata doesn't work right. The connections are all screwed up. I know, because I have one and I have the same problem as you. I don't know how to fix it and I spent a lot of time experimenting with how to attach the front audio cables to the onboard soundcard, and it just would never work right so that when the headphones were plugged in sound was cancelled to the audio connection to the back. It's the only problem with the sonata! BTW, I'm using an abit aa8 duramax mb, so it's not just a motherboard thing, it's the front audio thing.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but can't you just turn off your speakers when you're using headphones? Or is your speaker volume control located somewhere deep beyond your reach? 🙂
