It'll work fine, as for the sound quality, it's hard to tell from just this information. It's pretty subjective, just listen and compare both headphones.

you're probably a lot better off with the koss ksc-75. they're supposed to be an excellent headphone. i own a similiar model (portapro) and it's great.
