I installed two 12X8X32 Sony 160E/A1 CD-RW Roms drives.I can't get sound through the headphone jacks. Can someone give me a clue to where to start to locate the problem.Sony has great support, yeah right. No big deal if they don't work, but it bugs me 🙂.Thx,s for any suggestions you may give.

PS😱ne other thing I didn't no Both CD-RW Roms D & F will play music with only one audio cable installed to sound card, throught you needed a aux connection!!,well I,m no expert on audio so I leave it up to one of you bright people here.

Did u connect the audio cable from the drive 2 sound card...that might do it...whetther it da connection b digital or the other one...wuteva it is

You only get sound out of the jack on the drive if you're playing a CD. Also if Windows is set to play back digital audio on that drive you won't get any sound out of your headphones either.

The cable to the sound card is not required to get sound from the jack. You must set the drive to Analogue not Digital. Its under Multi-media options if I remember.
