i bought a headphone extension cord from radio shack. i guess it was a big mistake. it's a 20-ft cord. it worked great for a while but now the sound quality is awful. i get a bunch of static. to make sure it was the cord causing it, i plugged the headphones in without the extension and the sound was fine. are there some good extension cords out there that i can buy?

I wish there would be a law passed that would force all Radio Shacks to close.

he's probably looking for an inexpensive solution. $5 cable > $50 wireless headphones.

I LOVE radio shack...but their prices kill me. I can get most of the same stuff at Home Depot, expect for the exotic electronic parts.

I was given some RCA wireless headphones, and after a short while, I knew why (that is, why the person who had them gave them to me). For one thing, it's a constant battle to keep the audio at a satisfactory level. If the incoming sound gets just a little too loud, they distort badly, and if the sound isn't up to a certain level for about 30 seconds, the transmitter automatically shuts off, leaving the headphones hissing loudly into my ears. When the sound level comes up to the right level again, it takes the transmitter a moment to kick in, and thus whatever sounds were before it came on is lost. :disgust:

I'm probably just going to get a wired pair of headphones, since those would be better for audio editing stuff (one of my computer-related hobbies that I do in my spare time). Can one even get a good set for $70 or under, or is that impossible?
