Headphone and speaker question.

I was hoping if someone can direct me on how default my speakers on my monitor and headphone mic. I have headphone mic set up on the front panel of my case and have my monitor connected via HDMI to the video card. I can get them to work but I have to set each one as a default. Any way to default them together?

Using Win 7. Any help would be appreciated.

In your Control Panel -> Sound

Playback tab, set default to your HDMI audio device.

Recording tab, set default to the microphone on whatever your onboard sound uses.
