Headlights fix out speakers

I've posted this before (long time ago) but am still searching for answers.

Quite simply, sometimes (quite often) if I hit a bump my passenger side speakers will go out. From normal full power sound to low on and off static. Driver side remains fine. Turning my headlights on brings them back to full power. They go out again, flick the headlights on and off and they are back.

What about turning my headlights on would 'reset' whatever messed up the speakers? If there was a short somewhere, would something about the headlights reset the connection?

Its a cookie custom system in a Mini cooper, but regardless of the setup, the headlights 'fixing' the issue has to be a major hint.

Any clue?

Bad grounds in the system possibly. Harness issues
If you have no experience at this kind of troubleshooting , good luck.

Sounds like a tough one to chase down. Are the speakers being driven by a separate amplifier or from the head unit itself? Also is it still the stock head unit or was an aftermarket unit installed?
