headlights at night

when you guys drive at night, how much glare do you get from headlights of other cars?

like look at my (crappy) example....

the yellow vertical lines are the glare i get, but its like 2 times as high as the car is.
i don't think i should be getting that much glare, or is that normal?

it's a nightmare riding a motorbike at night in the wet. if any car comes the other way, even with dipped beam, the light reflects and lights up the beads of water on the visor making it near impossible to see. Water resisting spray -on coatings make it appear smudged and are just as useless.

Not to mention the visor steaming up.

basically, biking in winter blows.

yeah, the glare is like 10x worse when its raining. i hate driving at night when its raining.

You can buy anti-glare glasses for use at night. They have yellow-tinted lenses IIRC

Only problem I have with glare are:

1) Improperly aimed HIDs
2) Most SUVs
3) Ricers who purposely aim their lights higher to look brighter
4) High Beams

and by far the worst,

5) Improperly aimed HIDs on SUVs

I have a slight astigmatism so that makes the glare a bit worse.

i used a winshield washer fluid once that was good for removing bugs, it was green but i forget the name of it.
on my way up north there were no street lights and it was raining, the stuff made my windshield so when oncoming cars came i couldnt see the road at all from the glare.
i had to slow down and just kinda gauge where i was on the road by the other oncoming car.
like try to come close but dont hit it. talk about scary, my buddy who was my passenger tried to drive for a while but he was a nervous wreck withing a few minutes and couldnt go on.
im sure that stuff had to have caused a few accidents, maybe thats your problem also?

I used to think that the glare was due to my glasses and my poor vision. I got new glasses with anti-glare and they do not help as much as I thought they would.
