Headhunters in Boston, MA

I have a decent job but I think my salary is on the low side for my education/experience and not getting a lot of interesting work at the moment. I'd be willing to change jobs if I could get around $10k more, but I'm not actively looking for a job. I have a B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering and have worked as an algorithm developer (MATLAB) for the past 4 years. I haven't been able to find many job listings in the area for MATLAB algorithm development so I was wondering if a headhunter might be able to help me out. I've never dealt with a headhunter before and was wondering if anyone had any good/bad experiences with them, especially in the Boston area?

I have worked with a few in the Boston area.

Yeah, I've checked dice and applied to a few of the postings there. The majority of the jobs listed are with companies I am already familiar with and have applied to / interviewed with

The majority? He just posted like 200.

First mistake: You live in Boston.
Second mistake: You would even consider using a headhunter.
Third mistake: Not being flexible enough to really look at the offerings at Dice and America Job Bank as already suggested.

That match a keyword. There are multiple relevant postings are at a handful of companies. Many of which I already work for, have interviewed with or applied to already.

1. I don't live in Boston.
2. That's what I was asking in this thread.
3. I HAVE searched on my own.

You have checked many. follow the logic that I layed out and ensure that you have contacted them all.

Also, check on the other Job Boards and for other New England states.
