Headbanger Earsubs. The best set of headphones you will ever own for $20

I just got these and all I can say is DAMN!!!!!!
EDIT Changed link from amazon to walmart since it looks as though amazon is only selling the PSP ones. I got my universals from wally and after all the talk in the thread, it is a fail safe way to go if your looking for the universals.

Its like straping the Z5500's to my head with the sub too!
I dont like rap and hip hop but I am finding myself listing to it (psp NFS soundtrack) and the bass is, well, just wow. You have to hear them to believe it. I was not expecting this kind of sound quality from a $20 set at all. I was looking for cheap replacements for my old sony ear buds and something a little better that came with my psp. These has surpassed any that I have ever had. Cancel the surrounding kids and wife yelling very well too

They come in three flavors. Ipod, PSP, and universal. I got the universal ones so they can be used with everything. Powered by 2 AAA batteries. I have recharageables so no worries there but from what I understand the ipod and PSP ones get thier power from the units themselves but can only be used with them only.

But I am stoked for $20 and thought I would pass these on. Hooked them up to my little mp3 player, my psp, and now my Z5500 Pod and they sound great on all of them. Tons of bass, Low bass too that shakes your ear drums. I have also turned the volumes up on all I tried them on and it handles it without distorting but you will for sure go def listening to them that loud

It isnt all about low. It hits all sound ranges perfectly. You will hear the same stuff you will hear with you HT set up straping these to your head.

And as far as the other ones your have mentioned apples and oranges. The Sony ones are twice the price and the Koss I have owned them and YES I can say these are better. Also these have an external amp to increase the sound quality which it does very well.

And like I said for $20 (not $30 on up) it will be very hard to find anything in that price range or lower that sounds as good as these. I am listening to music with these writing this and I am hearing stuff I havent ever heard before.

LOL I am listening to Megadeth and humpty dance and had to take them out of my ears to make sure my sub wasnt making any of the bass I was hearing! The roll in Humpty dance is unbelievable, I really thought my Z5500 sub is putting out some of the bass I am hearing. Just unbelievable I am so stoked going through my music. I hate headphones because they never sound as good as regular speakers and I just wanted another pair that didnt hurt my ears or sound better when I had to cram them into my ear. I dont know if I can go back to using the speakers for awhile. I can hear everthing and great bass without bothering anyone

I have had all kinds of ear bud, regular headphones, and the big ear muff type and out of all the ones I have ever owned NONE has gotten me this excited about stupid headphones and even more for a lousy $20. I would expect thoes ones you get made for $300 to sound as good as these to be honest. I am hearing so much in my music I havent heard before. I know Im taking it over the edge but you seriously have to hear these to undestand why I am excited about a stupid pair of $20 headphones

I dont doubt the headphones are quite a contender for the $20 range, just based alone on your enthusiasm. I just got my new HD580s (new pair, old ones were gettin a little rough around the edges), though I may consider these as something portable, as the HD580s arent allowed out of my room

Of course, for accuracy, car systems are almost always utter crap (that's true for accurate bass as well as midrange and treble). However, if the only thing that's important to you is bass, then these will obviously do the trick- in the same way that some would suggest the Z-5500s over Gigaworks or Klipsches that are much better in terms of accuracy all the way around.
