Its usually pretty crappy, but wow, tonight its pretty horrid. I'm sitting 7-8 feet from the tv and I can't even read the bright green time on the cable box from that eye, normally that wouldn't be a problem at all...

Anyone else ever get this?

wtf bbq?

headaches are common occurances.

but vision being blurred by headaches would FREAK me out. i would be getting someone to drive me to the ER stat!

Had a similar thing happen to me years ago. I would get these bad headaches and literally be half-blind in both eyes. It was like I had a curtain hanging over the top half of my vision. Doctor diagnosed it as a migraine and prescribed some pain pills. Turned out it was brought on by tension and trying to concentrate too hard on the type of work I was doing. I figured out the cause after the fact, because when I stopped doing that type of work, the migraines disappeared completely.

Wow. This is like the opening scene of an episode of House. I can't wait for the camera to go zooming in your nose so we can see your neurons, when then start flashing and pulsating in what we (the viewers) can only assume is an unhealthy manner. Then it zooms back out, maybe through your ear, and we see you start twitching. Maybe we get a your-eye-view where things get blurry and sideways. Then someone tries without success to convince House to take your case, and just as he's walking out the door he sees a symptom that nobody else did and he gets curious ...

Most likely a Migraine.

If it happens again:

-Drink a couple cans of pop/cups of coffee (caffeine helps)
-Take an Excedrin (unless you have specific migraine medicine)
-Lay down, close your eyes. Don't move until it goes away.

I've had *many* of these through the years, but following those steps, they subside the quickest.
