And once again, why does the budget have room for $1.5 trillion in tax cuts for rich people but no room for cost of living increases for regular people?

Why can’t anyone answer this simple question?

Why don't liberals stop with constant virtue signaling and take a page out of the republican playbook and shut down the government if the president refuses to sign a tax increase on the rich while giving cost of living increases for regular people, surely the people will support them and be willing to sacrifice for the greater good,

but that means they would have to actually take on their own rich liberal benefactors instead of cowering before them like they did in Seattle to Amazon.
