So while Trump was President he took no official salary, but his businesses still charged the Treasury Dept. for services? You feel that all his businesses should have given free rooms, food, drinks etc. to the Federal government personnel because they were doing their jobs?

TDS at a glance.

No. He shouldn't have used his businesses at all, it's an obvious conflict of interest.

Brain damage at a glance.

always grifting...but we knew that

Trump went to his companies properties hundreds of times as president. He could've comped his Secret Service agents. Instead, he had them pay him nearly $2 million.
The Federal Reserve is like the nation's bank, and Trump is the head of the nation. Ponzi Scheming is when a CEO uses money belonging to others in his bank for personal use. Tax money is supposed to be used on the government or the general public.

Does this mean that Donald Trump was Ponzi Scheming the United States?

Yes he did take a salary, he chose to donate it, which is tax deductible, which means he benefited from it. it's no different than your employer paying you and you chosing to donate all or part of it. You where still paid. Maybe stop being an idiot?

No, TDS syndrome is you looking at this; nope, no conflict of interest here, but then continue to build up excessive amounts of saliva for frothing in the general direction of anything Hunter.
Ivanka. Nope... Hunter.
Junior. Nope... Hunter.
Jared. Nope... Hunter.
Hunter Hunter Hunter and Rudy laptops.

Some part of your mind must realize how utterly fucked your position is. Tribal Taj.

1. We expect him to utilize lodging and services which do not provide him a direct financial benefit
2. Failing that, we expect him to charge what the federal government sets as maximum allowable for lodging and services rendered.
3. At a minimum we expect him (by proxy Eric Trump representing his official business) to tell the truth about what they charged the government for those services

Fail fail fail

This is a move he learned from his father, Fred Trump. How do you think Fred moved all of his own money to Donald? He set up a corporation in Donald's name, and hired it to do everything... at exorbitant prices. Donny just did it with our money, instead of his family's.

Fred Trump was a craft old man, and a racist.

- He charged you for services. Remember all that money in the treasury is stolen from us American Citizens in the form of taxes. I want that money returned to me, not stolen again by Donald Trump for his own enrichment.

His salary was too small, compared to the money he could make ripping off the government.

His salary was legitimate, vs. his need to rip everybody off, which gives him a lot of pleasure.

I'll happily argue that if Trump wanted to put forward this 'nice rich guy' persona who donated his presidential salary for better causes, then wants to stay at his own businesses' properties while visiting places as President (which IMO would be understandable from a personal comfort perspective), then he should absolutely have had his accompanying staff stay for free.

Conflict of interest avoided... though one could argue that he was denying his competitors the extra business, he'd rather take the financial hit himself and possibly 'positive PR' re 'nice rich guy' persona again, so maybe still a conflict of interest, though a much more mild one unless it was proven to be a move that ensured the creation of say a Trump monopoly of sorts.

Don’t forget the extra cost for six months extended Secret Service protection for his adult children after the lost election.

He didn't need to take a salary, he took everything else from artwork to documents, but most of all he took advantage of taxpayers. Then there is the campaign donations he's still bilking from fools.
