Our current TV's work just fine and we won't need another for a long time.

If you buy another TV, you'll find yourself in the dog house. :D

When will Westinghouse release its next gen of LCD TVs? The current 37" 1080p panel doesn't have a tuner. I've seen the 42" 1080p at the local Fred Meyer for around $1300.

The prices should drop even more after the Super Bowl, no?

I heard that they've been keeping prices up for last minute bowl game buyers.

Actually have seen stores around here mark the prices up and put sales tags saying 25% off big game sale. Some people bpught it hook, line and sinker.

I think I have my father convinced to wait until Costco comes to Milwaukee to replace their current TV

ROFLSKATES, WTF?! Do they use binoculars?

They used to have a 27" Zenith that was 10+ years old, but that died. They're using my third Dell 2007FP for now. I'm hoping to do something in the 50" range for them this spring / summer :D

Since it's in the basement, I was really tempted to get them some sort of projector deal (like Infocus IN72 for $399) but resisted :p

When a mid-range Sony or Samsung 1080P 40" LCD with HD tuners gets to be around $1000-1500, I think about jumping on one!

How much later? Why do you think this? I would pick it up for that price for sure

HTF would I know? Last time I checked I can't predict the future, although that would be awesome.

It depends on a number of factors such as technology, prices and demand. I'm in no hurry as we just bought a Sceptre 32" LCD for our bedroom. The 37" would replace that. I just hope it happens before the 2008 Summer Olympics.

I haven't noticed a drop in flat panel prices since Black Friday, at least not in the low end. Seems like 42 inchers have been advertised on sale in the $1000 range for quite some time now. All those predictions about cheap flat panels seem to have fizzled out.

I've been following the BB and CC ads every Sunday and the prices are amazing. Some TV's have really come down in price. I'm keeping my 51" Sony until it dies but at these prices it's hard not to get a 37"-46" for the bedroom.
