Hi all,

I installed the HDTV wonder last night, but got no antenna signal, any clue?

One observation though, if I tried to install the newest "HDTV" driver from the site, it will crashed; but it was ok with the one that come with the disc. (my video card is the ATI Radeon x850xt PE)

Thanks guys

Yes, I did the autoscan, but no signal.
And thanks Bateluer for the link, guess I have a lot to read.
But just wonder anyone has experienced the same problem, hope I can get some short cut solution.

Even the cheapy RCA antenna can get tv signal, so I assume that ati antenna should give at least "some" signal, unfortunately, it's totally nothing, not even a bit.

Are the DTV broadcasts coming from the same towers? Does the analog tuner work OK?

How do we check whether it is or not? And for the analog tuner, I will need to connect it w/ an analog antenna right?

You can go to antennaweb and check out the broadcasts in your area. It will show the compass orientation of the broadcast towers and other information you can use.

IIRC, the antenna tha ships with the HDTV Wonder is UHF, so it should pick up anything thats broadcast UHF in your area.

If you think that's a long read, you should peruse the 127 page, 2500+ post thread on the card linked on that page.

In addition to what rbV5 suggests, write down or print down the channel frequencies. If you're having a hard time detecting the signal, first double check that the funky antenna is connected to the DTV input. If it is, try manually adding the closest station to you first. Enter in the frequency then pull up the signal meter. Rotate / reposition the antenna until you find a signal (the beeps will speed up as signal strength increases).

If you're having problems installing the drivers and software, follow the FAQ instructions to the letter.

Good luck.
