Does anyone have this card? I just got one, and it's been nothing but frustration.
I WONDER if it's the typical ATI driver issue.
I WONDER if it's the crappy software.
I WONDER if it's a hardware problem.
I WONDER if it's cause I'm using an Nvidia 6800GT instead of a lower performing X800.
I WONDER why 1080i always locks up the program when I switch to a channel, and 720p locks up after a while.
I WONDER why ATI calls their help "customer care" when it's virtually impossible to get an email across to them asking for help with these issues. I guess I'll be forced to call them and have to go through some stupid checklist that assumes I'm a complete computer noob who has never done anything with their computer but play solitaire. I can just picture it now, being asked about which drivers I have for all products, what programs I have running, if I've done a virus and spyware scan, have I re-seated the card, did I plug in the computer, do I know what a mouse is, etc...
My system is a fairly fresh install of XP w/ SP2. It's an Abit AV8 w/ a 3200 Winchester. It's water cooled, and I'm using OCZ's EL plat rev 2 memory with the PowerStream PSU too. 100% stable in everything I run except this new card.
Does anyone else use this card? If so, have you had any of these issues too? No WONDER it's called HDTV WONDER!
