HDTV WONDER 650 PRO PCI x1(Is it compatible?)

im thinking of buying the 650 pro for about 15 dollars no remote. Is it a good deal?

So my question is, Will it be windows 8.1 compatible or at least 8? also what is better about the 8 MCE than the 7MC? thanks to everyone

I bought one those tuners (PCI version) used. Couldn't get it to work (no drivers past
Vista) I 'm on Win7. I wasted hrs. searching for drivers that supposedly worked, but
didn't.
Afaik...8MC is unchanged from 7MC except you pay extra for it.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply DDK, do you still have this card? If you do could you please try something for me. i don't want to waste cash on a card that doesn't work. If possible could you find a vista or xp driver, and try installing it with compatibility mode on? and then putting all the exe files in the install directory to compatibility mode also? maybe it will work after trying that. If that doesn't work, could you try running it on an older PC for me? thanks.

If you still have it i might be willing to buy it from you. PM for more info about that.

Thanks

Sorry, I couldn't wait to get it into the trash & forget the time and $ wasted.

One other thing...on 8MC, it's my understanding that extenders are more
limited than 7MC. So, if that's a concern you may want to look into that.

I have a lot of HTPCs running now, and its hard to keep track of what is in what, but I could have sworn I had an ATI 650 card, pcie x1, in one of my systems running win 7 x64.

I do know that the card I have is a Dell branded ATI TV tuner that has both an NTSC tuner and an ATSC tuner. Obviously I only use the ATSC tuner and the NTSC is unused. I believe dell only had one card like that so you might be able to look it up.

I was referring to the old PCI card. I beleive their newer PCIe versions may work with
Win7. After looking at the OP again, I'm not sure which type card was being referenced.

yeah I was talking about the pci e one. I believe its called the Dell Theater 650 Pro combo. or something like that. ive changed my mind though, im thinking the Avermedia M791. There are tons of them on ebay for 8 dollars each(mostly.). it is confirmed working with OTA. ill post a review when I get it.(late-summer maybe. ill try and hurry up though. I just need extra cash.)
