HDTV Question

I am thinking about getting this tv to play my 360 on and watch tv and movies on and was wondering if anyone has it and does it work well? Also is it widescreen, is it intergrated hdtv (by that I mean is do I need a hd box to get tv in hd), and is the response time good,(is it ok to play 360 on)? thanks in advance.

Didn't know Polaroid made LCD sets. It is 16:9 widescreen, the native resolution is a bit weird, never seen it before but it does play all the standard HDTV resolutions (480p, 720p, 1080i). Xbox360 uses 720p for games from what I understand so it will be fine there.

From what I understand HDTV integrated tuners are useless, in the current world you will need an HD digital cable/satellite box to view HD content. I think tuners are for the future when standard signals over cable are HD. I could be totally wrong on this, but that is the situation here (you need the providers HD box, tuner useless).

thanks for the info. I have one more question on it, how did you tell it was widescreen ( I didn't see where it said just widescreen, is it under something else?) thanks

OTA (using a tuner and antenna) is the best way to get hdtv at the moment. (its free & the quality is the best)

Forgot about that, antenna is the best quality HDTV signal due to bandwidth, depending on where you live if broadcasters cast in the air.

Resolution: 1366 x 768
that is form the specs, so it's native res.

Divide those numbers you get 1.77, divide 16:9 (standard widesceren res) you get 1.77.

1366 x 768 is a standard resolution for 16:9 HDTVs. In fact until recently it was the upper end of the spectrum. Now there are 1920 x 1080 panels starting to be available in larger numbers at good prices. I just picked up a Sceptre 37" 1080 panel for the family room that I am very happy with.

I don't know about that Poleroid specifically, but you can probably get the best information at a place like www.avsforum.com. Go to the Plasma and LCD forum in the Display Device category. There is a review of just about every panel available.
