That kind of defeats the point of the HDMI connection. Your suppose to view it as the 'director' wanted it and not how you want to change the settingslol.

Last time I checked, HDMI was pin for pin the same as DVI, just more crap (audio) and the protocols support encryption. Otherwise, it?s exactly the same signal.
