HDTV owners, do you find yourself watching anything just because it's in HD?

Last week I got a 51" HDTV, my first. Not the best of the best, but the best I can afford for now. I have Comcast, which comes with like 10 HD channels in my area. What I've noticed over the weekend is, I'll watch anything if it's HD, just because it's in HD. There was good stuff on the regular channels, but I'm sitting there watching geysers erupt for no reason. I was watching sailing. SAILING! I don't even like sailing, but it was in HD! Hell I think I'd watch monkeys climb a tree for 30 minutes with no sound if it's in HD.

Does this go away, or am I doomed?

I did for a week or two after I first got the HDTV, but now I just watch what I want to watch, even if it isn't on HD.

I watched one thing about some european dude that blows glass and makes some crazy 4$$ $#!+ out of it. Yeah, I'll watch just about anything just cause it's in HD and most of the people I know w a HD tv do the same thing.

Just got an 65" HDTV in December. Hooked it up to an HD antenna and just watched PBS HD for hours in awe, until primetime.

I also remember watching my first Pistons game on it. My eyes were in heaven.

But, like most people, afterawhile I got used to it.

I saw that one. Great show.

Yea, the basketball games look awesome. Pissed me off though. Friday I come home all excited to watch the Laker game in HD (I'm a huge Laker fan. Yea, I know, save it). I turn on the TV and the Knicks game is on in HD, and looks AMAZING. So I start getting all excited for the Laker game to come on. It starts, and it's not in HD!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!! I made it through that, thinking I had a second chance on Sunday with the Lakers on ESPN again. I tune in to ESPNHD and the game isn't in HD again. Damn damn damn damn.

OK, at least I'm not alone in this. My wife thinks I'm crazy. I'm on the couch going, "Honey you've got to see this, it's two guys throwing a frisbee, but in HD!!!"
